Place that I stay

Laguna Gili Beach Resort … Lovely place in a lovely island ;)

During my trip to Lombok, I planned to stay for 2 nights in Gili Trawangan, the famous island in West Nusa Tenggara. Some people even has a nick name for that island, Gili T 🙂

Choosing where to stay in Gili T is actually quite hard. It has plenty of accommodations from affordable to some luxury resorts. I also needed to consider the location of the hotel. Even though Gili means little island, it is quite far when you stay on one side of the island and planning to walk to the other side of the island.

Gili Trawangan - Laguna Gili Beach ResortSo after I did some research, looking at the photos, reviews, and the Gili T map (thanks to Google map for this), we decided to stay in Laguna Gili Beach Resort. People said that it’s quite a new resort, but the review was great so we booked it.

Laguna Gili Beach Resort is located in the right side of the Gili T port. Actually the situation in the right side of the port is quieter than the left side of the port, and with, of course, the port is the centre of the crowd.

The distance from the port to Laguna Gili is actually quite near and still a walking distance. Along the way, there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and bicycle rental …

Reaching at the resort, we were greeted with the friendly staff and a foreigner guy, who is an Italian, but can speak Bahasa quite well.

So we checked-in, and waited for the room to be ready.

The place is actually quite nice, not too open as the rooms located inside the complex, behind the small building for reception and the dining place; so it will give a little privacy.

It also has a swimming pool inside! So after you swim in the sea, you still can swim in the swimming pool too, or perhaps just to relax and sit beside the pool … 🙂

Finally our room was ready …

Whooa … The room is really nice, and again, we had a spacious and wonderful room!

They put some frangipani leaves on the bed …

And there’s a day bed near the bed, which is quite big and comfortable …

Everything was arranged so neatly.

I love the stand lamp, and the decoration on the wall …

How about the bathroom?

The bathroom was big too, with the washbasin in the centre, the toilet on the right, and the shower … wait, the rain shower, on the left side! 🙂

If you just want to relax in the room, they have provided a DVD player in the room, so if you just want to relax in the room, you can go to the receptionist to ask for DVD’s 🙂

In Laguna Gili, there are two dining places. Inside the building (which is also an open dining place), or outside on the beach. Of course, dining on the beach is much better than dining inside, but I don’t think I want to have my breakfast there. The the place is facing the sun in the morning, so it’s quite hot if I had breakfast on the beach … 🙂

But, I did try to dine on the beach during lunch time … 😉

Mixed Up Already

The things that I love are movies, music, and travel. I have an extended family in the movies world, called MoviegoersID, and we love to hang out and watch the movie together. How about music? Well, do you know The Corrs? Yep, they are a very talented family/musician that I deeply love since high school! If you love them, then we might get a long well ;-) . My love to music then grow to Sugarland, Christina Aguilera, The Script, and of course the one and only Anggun. Travel is the love that grows in me very late. At around 2011, I fell in love with travelling, and I tried my best to travel each month since that time. You can contact me at .
