After having some brrrr moment when cruising in Yang Di river, now it’s time for us to have lunch.
The eating place was really simple. It’s like a shop house, and they only sold noodle. Simple noodle, with meat, and we could add some veggie or else, then pour the soup. It’s simple but the taste was nice 😉
Well anyway, after we finished our lunch, then we went to Yulong River (or Yu Long river) …
We arrived in the village of Yulong River. The car was parked at the outer part of the village, so we needed to walk a bit. While we walked, we passed the houses of the village, some were in modern style, and some still maintain the old style of the house. If I’m not mistaken, KFC said that Yu Long means ‘The meeting of the dragon’ or perhaps something similar to that … 😀
And hellow … that should be the bridge that KFC told us before … surely no one would jump to the water with this weather now haha.
Like I told you before, this time, we’re going to ride the real bamboo boat, without the motor engine.
So how could we move from one point to another? Well, there’s actually a person who would drive the boat using a very long stick … This person would swing the stick until one side of the stick reached the bottom of the river and then pushed the stick … I guess, the person who does this should have very strong arms … 😀
Anyway, as this the real bamboo boat, so one boat could only fit for 3 people (2 guests + 1 driver, are they called ‘driver?’ lol).
Btw, KFC also told us that Microsoft uses the scenery here for one of its Windows screen saver … Well they took the picture not from our location, but from some area quite far from our location and facing the bridge. Well below is not the photo that is used for the screen saver, but it’s still beautiful 😉
We went to one side of the river … And then stopped at this side. We jumped off the boat to some land, where farmers with a few of buffalo water were already there. The purpose of them bringing us here, well … to take picture with them, and playing with them … I mean … feeding them with some vegetables. And Firman was brave enough to put the vegetable on his mouth and feed the buffalo water children … lol. 😀
We stopped at the end of this side of the river, where there’s a barrier that separate this river with the next one. This river has higher surface than the next one. Actually we could go there, so it’s like a bamboo boat rafting then, but we didn’t do that haha 😉
This river cruise was very short, but the scenery was beautiful!!
And it seems there’s a school nearby, because (I guess) I heard a school bell, and after that, there were many little kids running from a place towards the bridge … Aaah it’s time for them to go home … 😉
Ouh … remembered what KFC said about pre-wedding photography in this area? Well we spotted about 3 couples or even more in Yulong river. And as it’s a pre-wedding photography, it means they’re using their wedding dress … Some did the photo shooting on the land, and some on the bamboo boat! Well, they have a good reason to do the pre-wedding photography here … It because the scenery is beautiful 😉
I guess, Yang Di River is beautiful because of the hills, and Yulong River is beautiful because of its scenery 😉
Apparently, for the other guys in the tour group, they continued their journey to Yangshuo with a bus, I guess it’s quite near … I heard, Yangshuo is also a very beautiful city.
It’s impossible for us to join them … *sad sad*
The day was not over yet, and we still had a chance to explore Guilin at night … 🙂
