Wow I think I found a quite cheap Korean food in Bandung … Well, for me, it’s cheaper compared to the ones inside the mall Lol!
So my friend and I ordered Cheese Ramyeon and Bibimbab plus 2 kimchi and a drink, the total is less than IDR100,000!
Well it’s just like what they say in their Twitter profile … ‘Korean food from IDR8 – 30K!’
Even the taste is nice too and we got a free drink – we chose the red velvet one.
Wait … a free drink?
Yep … so every IDR50 K that we spent, we entitle to get one free drink. If we spent IDR100 K than we get 2 free drinks!
With the price that is considered quite cheap and the location that is quite close to a university (UNISBA), it has a lot of traffic coming in to the restaurant. Luckily the house is quite big and it has several seating areas inside the restaurant.
I sat in the front area where there are only 2 quite low wooden table with nice couch. The table was actually quite low for eating purposes as I needed to bend a little bit, but the other area was already quite crowded!
But it was quite nice sitting here, as it less crowded and the weather was cool, so I got the cool wind!
Then there was an area where it looks like a train compartment with white colour and blue stripe. It has a name too, i.e. Ko-Rail. We actually wanted to sit in this area in the beginning, but the area and the table are too small – as we are eating inside the ‘train compartment’!
Next area was just like an ordinary restaurant setting, with only table and sits around a tree that located in the middle of the room. Meanwhile, the last room at the back, has another low table with no seats, so you can sit a la ‘lesehan’ style – where you sit on the floor / almost like seiza-style 😀
The interesting things with this restaurant, besides the cheap price of the food, is that it has many Korean ‘ornaments’ in all of the restaurants area, which make people to take photos while dining in! – well including myself! haha.
Just like the ‘junction’ area of the house, which is the cashier area and after the front area, there is a wall painting of three cartoon characters – perhaps taken from some Korean cartoon movies (not sure!) and a bus shelter with the directory. It has no eating table, only the seats – so this of course is for the photo settings, right – what else? 😀
Then there is the ‘train compartment’ area that I talked about … while the last two rooms, are decorated with another cartoon painting on the wall and some photo collections of the music band or movie actors.
Have I mentioned that it has a wishing tree in the first area?
Haha yes they have … And you can write any wishes that you want, put it on the tree, and then start to pray so your wish can come true, just like this one 😀
I will definitely go here again if I want to eat Korean food, but I have the suggestion – well if the restaurant read this haha … They should put a curtain or something to cover the entrance to the bathroom on the last room. Everything has been designed very cute, then besides the cute cartoon painting, you can see the bathroom haha!
