For day #4 of my Bali Trip, we planned to go to Ubud area, away from the beach. The plan was to leave around 10AM, but then again as the result of sleeping really late at the night before, I guess we left at around 11AM … 😛
The route for today (if everything going as we planned) was to Pasar Sukawati, Kintamani, Monkey forest, and Don Antonio Blanco museum.
First destination was Pasar Sukawati.
It seems that Pasar Sukawati is a must place to visit for souvenirs in Bali.
Why is that?
We actually only wanted to accompany Alex so he could buy souvenirs. But we ended buy more and more things in this market lol. Our shopping list were growing longer and longer.
‘I forgot to buy for my friend.’
‘I forgot to buy for my family.’
‘I forgot to buy for myself’ … LoL 😀
It’s already around 12PM, so we wanted to have lunch first.
Yupe, we had that big appetite! 😀
We went to ‘Nasi Kedewatan Ibu Mangku‘ located in Ubud area. They sell chicken rice. And it’s really nice 🙂
Finished the lunch, and the time was about 3PM.
We realize that we couldn’t go to all of the places that we have planned.
We should choose where we go from here.
We could go to Kintamani, or … We could go to Monkey Forest and Antonio Blanco’s museum.
Going to Kintamani would take about 1-1.5 hours, while Monkey Forest is nearby the restaurant, so we went for the second choice …
Monkey Forest first …
Antonio Blanco’s museum second …
The entrance fee for Monkey Forest is IDR15,000/person.
The place is big and beautiful.
Inside, there’s a wishing pond … A place where you wish something to come true … 🙂
Just throw a coin to the pond while you standing with your back facing to the pond. And don’t forget to make a wish first before you throw the coin 😉
Next, we went to a small pathway at the side of the creek, not far from the wishing pond. The pathway is quite small, so you need to walk one by one. It’s a dead-end, so after you go to the end of the path way, you need to go back to the same path … 🙂
It was raining at that time, so it made the weather in the forest cool.
Love it! 🙂
There are a lot of monkey there.
We could see a mother monkey carried her kid …
We could see a monkey was looking for fleas at other monkey’s body …
And if you want, you could also feed the monkey with the food that is provided by the staff there 🙂
It’s already around 430 – 5PM, and we still has one more place to visit.
The place is actually very near with the forest, but when we arrived there, the place is already closed. Apparently they close at 5PM. Too bad 🙁
Well, it’s getting darker … And it’s raining, so it’s best for us to go back to the hotel, rest for a while, take a bath, and go for dinner.
For dinner, Bram brought us to Ultimo, another Italian restaurant located in Seminyak.
They divide the place into many sections …
You can eat at the front side of the restaurant
At the centre, there’s a bar and some dining tables, with the kitchen at the left-side.
At the back, there’s a garden, and another indoor room, which is more quiet than the centre one 🙂
1 Calzone Pizza
1 Ravioli Polo
1 Fettucinne Carbonara
We didn’t go out until late this time, so after we had our dinner, we went back to the hotel and rest 🙂
Happy that we could explore more places in Bali …
I think next time, I want to stay at Ubud …
I don’t know why, but the atmosphere in Ubud is different. It’s like a place if you want to relax, or enjoying life … It’s different with Kuta.
And also … I haven’t visited Kintamani, and Antonio Blanco’s museum … 🙂 🙂
