The book exchange in Sydney Harbour YHA |
The most WOW? Hmm probably I exaggerate that a bit, but so far, Sydney Harbour YHA is indeed the most WOW hostel that I have stayed. And why is that … ?
First is the location.
It’s located in The Rocks area! Well, my friend said that The Rocks area is an expensive and popular area! Yep, I guess she’s right. I could find many star hotels in the area, but there’s a YHA here! 🙂 Not only that, as we walked to the Sydney Harbour; we found many bars, cafes, and shops, even during weekend we found a market in The Rocks with plenty of food and other shops!

A view from the rooftop of Syney Harbour YHA |
When you walk to Sydney Harbour, you will definitely see the two most famous icons in Sydney! Can you guess 🙂 ? Yep, it’s the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
And then, what intrigued me and my friend to stay here was because the location is so unique. It is built above an archaeological site of The Rocks. It’s above, NOT on the archaeological. That’s why, we still could see the site from inside of the hostel. Even they provide the information of the site.

Next thing is, Sydney Harbour YHA is quite near with two train stations. The closest one is Circular Quay station, while the other one is Wynyard Station. Wynyard Station is more far than Circular Quay station to the Sydney Harbour YHA, but if you walk from Circular Quay, it will involve quite a few stairs on your way to the hostel. Haha … So take your pic 😉
Second is the view.
The view? Sydney Harbour YHA has a rooftop, and from the rooftop we can see wonderful view, can you guess what is it? Haha … Can you believe that with a budget price we can get this view? 😉

Third is the Sydney Harbour YHA itself.
I’ve stayed in hostel twice, so this was my third stay in a hostel. And I can definitely say that this Sydney Harbour YHA is WOW and nicer!

The common room in Sydney Harbour YHA |
The first time we entered the lobby on the second floor, I saw a very big and spacious common room beside the receptionist area. This common room is the place for the guests to just relax or hang out with the others. I really love the design of this room too! They also have a few of computer stations where you can use the internet (with an hourly fee).

Not only that, Sydney Harbour YHA has its own cinema next to the rooftop. The place is really comfy with many couches. I think this is really great, when you’re tired and don’t want to go anywhere, just bump on the coach and watch a movie 😉

So, I’ve talked about everything else, except the room. How was it?

The private bathroom in Sydney Harbour YHA |
We booked 4 shared male private bath room. Don’t expect something fancy for the room, as it’s hostel, but … Sydney Harbour YHA room is still very comfortable. With a very nice private bathroom, they also provide Aircon by request. By request means that you need to ask the staff to turn-on the aircon, but you need to close the window, if not, the aircon will not on. It’s automatic! 😀
I will definitely stay again here in my next visit to Sydney. This Sydney Harbour YHA is very popular, our roommate changed almost everyday haha. So book early 😉
