I still remember the tiredness that I felt after a 5-7 hour drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport of Bali to the North part of Bali. I took the route via East Bali and not cutting through the middle of the island.
After a long drive, what I wanted was just a good night sleep at a very comfy bed, but I needed to put that on hold at the moment as the location of the Place That I Stayed in Shanti Natural Panorama View in Singaraja area is not as what Waze directed me. Waze used Foursquare check-in as the direction, but apparently the location was not correct. After a few calls and asking direction to the local people, we finally made it to the hotel. We passed some housing complex, went up and down the hill to reach the hotel haha!
It’s already dark so we didn’t know how the hotel was looked like at the moment.
The hotel staffs already waited myself and my friend, and directed us to the restaurant to have dinner. Well there’s no restaurant opened during that hour. I think there were only both of us [and we were the last guests to check-in on that day! *oops*] and the hotel staffs in the restaurant, while the surrounding was already quiet.
…Our room was called Nakula or Sahadewa [not sure which one, but both rooms are called ‘The Twins], and it’s a two-story small house where the first story is like the open-air ‘living room’ with comfortable couches inside, while the room itself is at the second floor.

The next morning, I woke up earlier than the usual hour, opened the door of the house, and I was just wowed by what I looked in front of my eyes! The hotel complex area is so big, but I could see that there are not many rooms in this resort. Everything and everywhere is so neat and green with small pathway connecting the rooms, the restaurant in the front side of the complex to the gate. Not many rooms in this resort means less crowd, and it’s a good thing to relax after a tiring drive the day before.
Our room price is already included with breakfast at the same restaurant with the one that we had dinner at the night before. When we had dinner at the night before, we couldn’t see anything from the restaurant, but at that morning, we were smiling again looking at the vast green hill across this resort with hills at the background that was covered with a thin fog. It’s just like we’re not in Bali that is identical with beach. It’s so peaceful here.

This resort is equipped with a swimming pool located in a lower area of the hotel complex.
Either you want to relax beside the pool, or plunge yourself in the pool is up to you. I can just sit beside the pool while doing nothing and enjoying the beautiful scenery around the resort or just reading.
Beside a swimming pool, this resort also has a massage place to help you more relax and recharge yourself. While I walking around the hotel complex, I noticed that there are quite a few of Buddha statues – even beside the swimming pool. Then I realized the name of the resort … Shanti. For me the humming and saying the word ‘shanti’ is quite common in yoga. No wonder they also provide ‘yoga and meditation’ for the guests.
Besides yoga, the resort has provided several activities for the guests, such as: trekking, hiking, and many more.…
Shanti Natural Panorama View is built inside a village area, where just across and around the resort, I still could see some paddy field. Even the traffic was not crowded. I only saw a few motor cycles or even cars passing this street. Another interesting thing is that this resort is located quite near a few waterfalls, such as Aling Aling waterfall. It’s not as famous as Gitgit waterfall, but still, it’s still an interesting place to visit while you’re staying in this resort.
