I’m not sure what did I do in 27 Dec during my Kinabalu Trip (Kota Kinabalu), because I can only find this picture lol 😀
It’s a beef noodle from a Korean restaurant 🙂
. 28 Dec 2009 .
For today activity, we’ve already booked a tour, from a tour provider that we found in ‘Warisan Square.’ We found a good one, which was ‘islands tour,’ where the route was to Sapi and Mamukti islands. For the activity during the tour, the tour provider would provide the snorkeling tools.
So our first destination was to Sapi island. We didn’t know that when we reached the island, there’re other fun water activities beside snorkeling, such as banana boat, parasailing, flying fish, sea walking, and so on. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring much money at that time, so some of us chose to do banana boat! To be honest, I’ve never rode a banana boat before, so it’s quite thrilling!
My brother and I, two of my cousins, and two of my aunts decided to try the banana boat.
Apparently, we could request to the staff who will pull the banana boat using the boat whether we would like to be thrown to the sea or not. If yes, how many times . Lol … But I think, normally they did that 3 times?
First, we rode the jet boat to the deeper sea, with the banana boat tied to jet boat. Then, when they thought that the spot was okay, they pull the banana boat to the side of the jet boat, so we could hop into it.
At the beginning, the staff only went straight, with a small turn to the left and right, left and right, and WOOZZ!!! All of us were thrown to the sea! hahaha … 😀
Okay, WOOZZ means that they made a sharp turn so they made a big wave. Big enough that the banana boat would tilt to the side. 😀
Then, the staff would pick us up from the sea (lol) so we could ride the banana boat again from the jet boat.
‘This is fun!!’
‘Let’s do it again!!’
(of course, our aunties didn’t think like this! haha).
The second time, was still thrilling.
Although, I’ve prepared myself with the sharp turn by holding tightly to the grip, but still, (I think) I would eventually be thrown to the sea! Hahaha.
We’re swimming on the sea again! Thanks to the life vest, I was still floating! Hahaha 😀
If I’m not mistaken, we did it three times. And it’s fun fun fun.
During the trip back to the island, I saw people doing the flying-fish! It’s more scary than banana boat!
Arriving at the island, the staff already prepared a buffet lunch for us. There’re a lot variety of food, and after that kind of activity, I think we tend to eat a lot! Haha. See what I took for the lunch 😛
After lunch, next activity was snorkeling.
As I said earlier, the tour provider already brought the snorkeling tool for us, which was the goggle.
Me … snorkeling alone, okay, let’ see … where should I go.
Okay first try … I swam (yes, I swam … because I was wearing the life vest :D), yes I could see the coral … err … I think I should go back now! Lol .. Gosh, I just scared that I would hit the coral. And yes I did in the second try! My foot hit a coral … Aaah, next snorkeling should be better 😀
It’s not that far from Sapi island …
Actually the activity in Sapi island was similar with the one in Sapi island. If you want to snorkel, there’s a goggle for you.
But I think all of us decided not to do any water activities again.
Some of us headed to the beach, the other explore the island.
It’s not a big island, so you could explore the island in a short time.
We went to the back of the island. It’s higher than the front side, but it’s manageable. It’s not that high 🙂
Today was fun!
And tomorrow we headed back home 🙂
So well, this was the end of my Kinabalu trip! 🙂
