When I booked a room in Harris Bukit Hotel Jimbaran, I didn’t really pay attention to the name. It said ‘bukit’ which is hill in English. I thought it was just a name, but apparently there’s a reason why they put ‘bukit’ in the name.
The location of Harris Bukit Hotel Jimbaran is actually indeed on a hill, as I could notice the hotel standing tall, when I drove my car from below. That’s why they have some room with the ‘Bay View’. I presume with the name ‘Bay View’ I could see the ‘Bay’ easily just from my room window. That’s what I thought … But, apparently when I looked the view from my balcony [yes the room has a balcony!], it’s unfortunate that the view was ‘blocked’ by a house. I needed to raise my camera to get a better photo of the Jimbaran Bay from the balcony haha! I think they should move the ‘Room with a Bay View’ to a higher floor so the guests can really see the bay from their room. Lol!Talking about the room, although I didn’t get a clear ‘bay view’, the room is actually quite comfortable and simple. The room is quite spacious with a queen size bed with white bed linen and some pillows. I could just ‘dive’ inside the bed linen and sleep instantly! It’s so comfortable and clean! They also put some orange in on of the pillows and other furniture. I guess this colour ‘orange’ is really identical with Harris Hotel.
The room also has a small table that can be used for you as a working desk, and they provide a safety deposit box in the room. The bathroom in my room is also simple but clean with separate space for the bathroom water closet and the shower.
Overall, I love the simplicity of this room and the most important thing is the cleanliness!
An interesting thing with Harris Bukit Hotel Jimbaran is that the hotel has a rooftop bar called Jim’bar’n which I think is much better to be there from dawn to the evening as they lit on the light. It’s not just a bar, but also functioned as lounge and restaurant too. There are some lazy day bed in one side and dining tables on the other side. Unfortunately I didn’t try to have dinner here, but I bet it’s pretty nice to have dinner in here, or even just lazy-ing on the bed provided here. Now … from this rooftop bar, you definitely can see the 360 degrees of the surrounding, including the ‘Bay’!
I think, this rooftop bar can also be used for a wedding reception as at the end of the rooftop bar, there’s a small ‘chapel’. Well, correct me if I’m wrong, but if it’s true, it would be lovely to say your vow with the sunset view as your background! 😉 Very romantic and beautiful indeed!…
When I entered the lobby, the first thing that attracted my eyes was a cool orange antique car – with the ‘uncovered’ big engine of the car – being showcased near the lobby. Apparently there’s another cool thing being showcased there. A big motorbike with orange colour on some part of the motorcycle and also a female dancer statue in front of the lobby. A unique thing with the statue is they use something like coins to shape the cloth of the dancer! Very cool and artsy, right? The lobby of Harris Bukit Hotel Jimbaran is a semi open-air where it’s connected to the swimming pool located in between the building [the shape of the hotel looks like a letter ‘U’]. The area of the swimming pool area is very nicely designed with some trees. The pool is not just an ordinary swimming pool as the size is long enough for you to swim back and forth.
The slogan of Harris Bukit Hotel Jimbaran is ‘simple, unique, and friendly’ … And I definitely agree with it as:
– the room is simple and clean
– the hotel is unique with its art collections, and beautifully designed rooftop bar
– the staffs are very friendly and helpful!
Would I stay in this hotel again? Definitely!
