Bali Trip – Day #4 – 08.11.2011 …

For day #4 of my Bali Trip, we planned to go to Ubud area, away from the beach. The plan was to leave around 10AM, but then again as the result of sleeping really late at the night before, I guess we left at around 11AM … πŸ˜›

The route for today (if everything going as we planned) was to Pasar Sukawati, Kintamani, Monkey forest, and Don Antonio Blanco museum.

First destination was Pasar Sukawati.

It seems that Pasar Sukawati is a must place to visit for souvenirs in Bali.

Why is that?

Nothing to do while waiting for Alex & Sinthya finished their shopping πŸ˜€

We actually only wanted to accompany Alex so he could buy souvenirs. But we ended buy more and more things in this market lol. Our shopping list were growing longer and longer.

‘I forgot to buy for my friend.’

‘I forgot to buy for my family.’

‘I forgot to buy for myself’ … LoL πŸ˜€

Bali Trip - Pasar Sukawati - Sinthya is eating RujakAfter we spent some time here, including had some snacks, rojak, and Indomie rebus (boiled noodle); we decided to go to Ubud.

It’s already around 12PM, so we wanted to have lunch first.

Yupe, we had that big appetite! πŸ˜€

We went to ‘Nasi Kedewatan Ibu Mangku‘ located in Ubud area. They sell chicken rice. And it’s really nice πŸ™‚

Bali Trip - Ubud - Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu MangkuIf you had time, you can explore this place. The complex is big with many houses, and the place is very nice. I asked someone there, he said that the houses are actually occupied by the big family.

Finished the lunch, and the time was about 3PM.

We realize that weΒ couldn’t go to all of the places that we have planned.

We should choose where we go from here.

We could go to Kintamani, or … We could go to Monkey Forest and Antonio Blanco’s museum.

Going to Kintamani would take about 1-1.5 hours, while Monkey Forest is nearby the restaurant, so we went for the second choice …

Monkey Forest first …

Antonio Blanco’s museum second …

The entrance fee for Monkey Forest is IDR15,000/person.

The place is big and beautiful.

There are many big trees, just like if you entered a forest.

You can find a creek inside the forest.

Inside, there’s a wishing pond … A place where you wish something to come true … πŸ™‚

Just throw a coin to the pond while you standing with your back facing to the pond. And don’t forget to make a wish first before you throw the coin πŸ˜‰

Next, we went to a small pathway at the side of the creek, not far from the wishing pond. The pathway is quite small, so you need to walk one by one. It’s a dead-end, so after you go to the end of the path way, you need to go back to the same path … πŸ™‚

It was raining at that time, so it made the weather in the forest cool.

Love it! πŸ™‚

Bali Trip - Ubud Monkey Forest - The MonkeyBy the way, I haven’t talked about the monkey … πŸ˜€

There are a lot of monkey there.

We could see a mother monkey carried her kid …

We could see a monkey was looking for fleas at other monkey’s body …

And if you want, youΒ could also feed the monkey with the food that is provided by the staff there πŸ™‚

It’s already around 430 – 5PM, and we still has one more place to visit.

Don Antonio Blanco museum.

The place is actually very near with the forest, but when we arrived there, the place is already closed. Apparently they close at 5PM. Too bad πŸ™

Well, it’s getting darker … And it’s raining, so it’s best for us to go back to the hotel, rest for a while, take a bath, and go for dinner.

For dinner, Bram brought us toΒ Ultimo, another Italian restaurant located in Seminyak.

No more cheese stick for me!! πŸ™

They divide the place into many sections …

You can eat at the front side of the restaurant

At the centre, there’s a bar and some dining tables, with the kitchen at the left-side.

At the back, there’s a garden, and another indoor room, which is more quiet than the centre one πŸ™‚

Bali Trip - Ultimo Seminyak - Calzone PizzaWe preferred the garden area … But because it’s still raining, so they have like a convertible ceiling …

We ordered:

1 Calzone Pizza

1 Ravioli Polo

1 Fettucinne Carbonara

We didn’t go out until late this time, so after we had our dinner, we went back to the hotel and rest πŸ™‚

Happy that we could explore more places in Bali …

I think next time, I want to stay at Ubud …

I don’t know why, but the atmosphere in Ubud is different. It’s like a place if you want to relax, or enjoying life … It’s different with Kuta.

And also … I haven’t visited Kintamani, and Antonio Blanco’s museum … πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Mixed Up Already

The things that I love are movies, music, and travel. I have an extended family in the movies world, called MoviegoersID, and we love to hang out and watch the movie together. How about music? Well, do you know The Corrs? Yep, they are a very talented family/musician that I deeply love since high school! If you love them, then we might get a long well ;-) . My love to music then grow to Sugarland, Christina Aguilera, The Script, and of course the one and only Anggun. Travel is the love that grows in me very late. At around 2011, I fell in love with travelling, and I tried my best to travel each month since that time. You can contact me at .

I think it should be “rujak” not “rojak” because “rojak” sounds like bang rojak.
