Baan Rim Pa is built ‘on the rock’, just beside the beach and it is a semi-open air restaurant. You could choose to sit in the centre area of the restaurant or at the balcony. As the restaurant was quite empty at that time (around 4PM), we were escorted to sit at the balcony area, which is actually fit for 6 people. It was a really nice and good spot in this restaurant as it seems that you have your own space in the restaurant. No other people walking around your table.
So my suggestion if you want to get this table is to come a bit early before dinner time, and hopefully you will get this table 😀
The reason why my friend and I came here was because of the view that we can see from inside the restaurant and of course the sunset 🙂
Baan Rim Pa is really a quite nice place to eat.
It has the wooden floor with many traditional elements, such as some of the seats are made from woven bamboo and some traditional carvings. Its waiting room is even beautifully designed with the aquarium that gives the blue elements around the brown colour.
How about the food?
Well according to my friend, from all of the Tom Yum Goong that my friend tried during the trip, the Tom Yum Goong in Baan Rim Pa is the nicest and tastiest one, although the portion is a bit small for that price lol. Anyway … I ordered Pad Thai … And yes, the thing we did not like is the portion of the food which is too small. We wish they make it bigger haha 🙂
If you came to Baan Rim Pa, you will see that this place is actually connected to other restaurants – Da Maurizio and Joe’s Downstairs. I kinda like Joe’s, as it has a patio just beside the rock, so we can eat while enjoying the breeze of the wind 😀
