I always get excited when riding a cable car … I don’t know why, perhaps because of the 360° panoramic view of the surrounding.
As I mentioned before in my previous post, the cable car started from Tung Chung Cable Car terminal, and there are two kinds of cable car that we could choose, the standard one and the crystal cabin one
The queue for the cable car was quite long. The crystal cabin has a different queue with the standard cabin, but the crystal cabin will only show up after several standard cabins … So it’s same-same lah.
I didn’t realize that the cable way is 5.7km long, and yes … it does has a fantastic view. From above, we could see the Hong Kong International Airport from above, and beautiful panoramic view of Lantau Island. Approaching the Ngong Ping cable car terminal, we already could see the Buddha statue, which is called Tian Tan Buddha. Apparently, from the cable car, we could see that there’re some kind of trails from Tung Chung terminal, and also from Ngong Ping terminal. Not sure whether both trails are connected to each other in the middle, probably not!

By the way, if you want to know, how does it feel to ride the crystal cabin, Keith Jenkins from Velvet Escape has recorded a video when he was up in the air … Interesting!! Here’s the video:
